At the end of the ice

Mi sono immaginata che, all’inizio di un nuovo mondo, allo sciogliersi di tutti i ghiacci, affiorassero, dai blocchi in disfacimento, oggetti di una civiltà ormai superata. Quella che, con intelligenza, siamo riusciti ad abbandonare. Per lungo tempo ibernati, i resti di un’era sintetica e noncurante, si rivelano, nella loro tragica inutilità.

I imagined that, at the very beginning of a new world, while all the glaciers were melting down, some objects from an outdated civilization, started to emerge to the surface through the ice blocks.
The very same civilization that wisely we had been able to leave behind. The leftovers of a synthetic and careless era, long hibernated, reveal themselves in dramatic futility.
