L'ESTETICA DEL REBUS

Autrice rigorosa, capace di esprimersi ad altissimo livello nella difficile arte dello still life, Francesca Moscheni si è recentemente misurata con una nuova ricerca personale dove molti aspetti si intrecciano in reciproci rimandi. La rappresentazione del cibo è il tema più manifesto: l’attenta composizione evoca, soprattutto nel sapiente controllo di luci e ombre, quella cara alla pittura del Seicento, ma poi la fotografa vira decisamente verso i canoni di una estetica contemporanea dinamica, intensa, guizzante. Il risultato finale è come attraversato da un che di ermetico: una carta da gioco, un dado, un elemento accostato agli altri in modo eterodosso fanno venire in mente le combinazioni di oggetti cari ai rebus. Anche se qui non ci sono soluzioni, solo il fascino sottile dell’enigma.

As a rigorous author, able to express herself at a very high level in the difficult art of still life, Francesca Moscheni has recently measured herself with a new personal research/work in which several aspects intertwine each other. The rappresentation of food is the most evident theme: the careful and precise composition evokes, mainly through a thoughtful control of lights and shadows, the same care we can find in XVII Century paintings. But the photogapher also focuses on the schemes of the contemporary aesthetics. The final result is kinda ermetic: a play card, dices, one unexpected element placed amongst the others immediately recreates the typical atmosphere of the rebus. Even though we don’t have a solution here, just the subtle charm of the enigma.
